Functions
TheMaintenance Technician safely operates and performs a variety ofmaintenance activities including corrective maintenance (CM)preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) forvarious computer / PLC controlled production equipment including butnot limited to Scales Dumpers Mixers Cookers Chillers Slicers TrayFormers Case Formers Conveyors Robots Palletizers Pallet Wrappersand ancillary compressed air water steam gas electrical pumping andcontrols systems.
Must be able to safely apply knowledge andtroubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment and theability to effectively interact with all plant personnel toaccomplish plant and individualgoals.
Perform daily weekly monthlysemiannual and annual maintenance plans and activities in a safeproper and timely manner while constantly maintaining a high levelof craftsmanship.
Assist in training of other plantpersonnel.
- Utilize the CMMS (ComputerizedMaintenance Management System) to assist in the development and theexecution and followup on maintenance activities including but notlimited to inspections calibrations repairs andrebuilds.
- Complete all required documentationaccurately and in a timely manner.
- Use andmaintain all tools properly.
- With assistancedevelop ability to provide corrective actions to all levels ofequipment / system failures utilizing root cause analysis andtroubleshooting techniques
- With assistancedemonstrate ability to utilize advanced maintenance techniques andtools such as thermographic ultrasonic and vibration analysis toassess the health of production equipment and predict failuresbefore they occur.
- Repairmodification and improvement of assigned production equipment withprecision maintenance techniques asnecessary.
- Participate on the Kansas City TPMProject teams as needed.
- Identify and / orcorrects potentially hazardousconditions.
- Ability to safely operate aforklift.
- Safely perform work includingadherence to Tyson Brands policies such as lockouttagout (LOTO) hotwork permit and confined space entry.
- Worksclosely with Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Planners todevelop opportunities for continuousimprovement.
- Assist in the development ofindividual performance objectives.
- Workcooperatively in a maintenance culture that is focused oncontinuous improvement (LEAN) positive morale and exceptionallevels of customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned bysupervisor.
Requirements
- Musthave a minimum of 1 year of maintenance work experience of mechanicwork experience (can be a combination of employers) or a graduateof an industrial maintenance trainingprogram.
- Experience must be documented on yourapplication &resume.
