LIVING WATER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is Hiring a 2024-2025 High School English Teacher Near Jacksonville, NC

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and carry out dynamic lessons

  • High School English I, II, III, or IV on a daily basis
  • Plan a learning environment with a variety of learning styles in mind
  • Develop and enforce classroom rules
  • Model “The Warrior Honor Code”, emphasizing this conduct model in all areas at all times
  • Sustain ongoing communication between parents and school
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each student
  • Hold parent-teacher conferences as needed
  • Classroom Management System is to be maintained with up-to-date information.
  • Support the mission and vision of the school’s learning philosophy
  • Supervise and assist when appropriate
  • Attend required faculty meetings
  • Maintain and follow daily routines and schedules
  • Other duties may be assigned by the Administrator or Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least a four-year degree, preferably in education and in the area to be taught.
  • Ability to effectively teach Spanish and English at the college prep and honors level.
  • Experience teaching, as well as certification in English is a plus, but not required.
  • Teachers must have a thorough understanding of 21st century classroom practices and interdisciplinary connections.
  • Spoken and written language skills must be strong and representative of an educated professional.
  • Technology skills are required to both teach students in the classroom, as well as to maintain records and communications.
  • Teachers must be able to articulate their faith and support the school’s Christian environment.
  • Physically, the position requires sitting, walking, and standing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28,000.00 per year
