Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the HR Generalist/Recruiter is to provide administrative support to human resources function as needed (e.g. recruitment and employment process, payroll, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and others).
  • Responsible for daily administrative tasks of the human resources department including filing active/terms, I9, faxing, copying, and organizing departmental files.
  • Assist on site Recruiter- Interviews, offers, walk ins, new hire orientation.
  • Maintain and update all required forms dealing with but not limited to recruitment flyers, HR Board, employment & wage verifications, unemployment claims and subpoenas.
  • All data entry for HRIS- ADP
  • Responsible for company employee activities, monthly birthday list/celebration, company newsletter
  • Liaison between employee and HR Generalist for all leave of absences
  • Assist with day-to-day HR operation. 
  • Serves as back up to Recruiter. 
  • Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant human resource experience
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • HRIS- ADP experience is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
  • Requires the ability to work amid constant interruptions and the ability to prioritize and deal with time pressures.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish- preferred
  • Travel requirement (50%): Commute between Chula Vista and El Cajon office as needed.

  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination including a drug test.
