Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated, mechanically inclined individual to join our team. Must be dependable, with a strong work ethic, and be willing to work in hot and dirty environments at times. On occasion weekend and night work is required. We are open to individuals currently holding a State of Texas FEL license or individuals who are dedicated to, and interested in, learning the trade. This position will be responsible for installing new fire suppression systems and performing repeat maintenance on existing fire suppression systems, mostly in commercial kitchen environments. This role is physically demanding, requires the ability to efficiently work with hand tools, lift heavy materials, and the willingness to get dirty. We are a new division of a growing company, bringing in over 20 years of fire safety experience, and a high performance at this position will yield opportunities for advancement as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Reading blueprints, using hand tools, climbing ladders, and cutting and threading pipe to install fire suppression systems
- Using hand tools and climbing ladders to perform repeat maintenance on fire suppression systems
- Perform work in a safe manner
- Must have the ability to pass the State of Texas licensing exams for Type B, Type K, and Type A Fire Extinguisher Licenses
Experience:
- No experience is acceptable (we will train) for the right individual
- Must be highly motivated, dependable, with a strong work ethic
- Experience working with hand tools is preferred
- Willingness to work in hot and dirty environments is essential
- Must be legal to work in the United States
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
