Job Summary:

The Service Manager at Jenkins Nissan of Homosassa is responsible for overseeing and managing the service department and technicians at our Homosassa location. This is a full-time, individual contributor role that requires strong customer service skills, technical knowledge, and leadership abilities. The role involves working in the auto industry and primarily focuses on commission-based compensation.

NISSAN EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED BUT NOT MANDATORY
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive compensation package of $80,000 to $110,000 per year... This pays a weekly draw against commission. Employees will also have access to benefits such as healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Supervise and manage the service department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations 
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of service technicians to provide high-quality work and exceptional customer service
  • Monitor and update service schedules to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and address any service concerns or issues
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to provide expert advice and recommendations
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve customer experience
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure sufficient supplies for service operations
  • Regularly review and analyze service department performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or degree preferred
• Previous experience in a service management or leadership role in the automotive industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automobiles and their systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team
• Proficient in using various computer programs and systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction 
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears 
  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling 
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips 
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly 
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear 
  • Tasting/Smelling: Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors or odors, or recognizing particular flavors or odors using tongue or nose 
  • Near Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less 
  • Far Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more 
  • Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are 
  • Visual Accommodation: Adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This factor is required when doing near point work at varying distances from the eye 
  • Color Vision: Ability to identify and distinguish colors 
  • Field of Vision: Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
