urby is Hiring a People Operations Partner Near Hoboken, NJ

The People Operations Partner will serve as a trusted point of contact and provide HR support to employees across the organization for various aspects of People Operations, including employee relations, payroll, benefits & 401(k), and workflow/process improvement.
Responsibilities:HRIS Administration
  • Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees.
  • Act as main point of contact for our Rippling account.
  • Liaise with the Rippling team to troubleshoot, and continuously improve Rippling processes and reporting so that efficiencies are realized.
  • Manage new hire onboarding process, internal transfers and promotions in Rippling.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and retirement programs, serving as a strategic advisor alongside benefits brokers for annual renewal and open enrollment.
  • Prepare anniversary, birthday and new hire announcements.
  • Assist in the administration of employee engagement surveys and review cycles.
Compliance Policy
  • Establish and implement people operations specific policies and workflows, working with the Chief of Staff to revise and enhance these as needed to increase efficiency and decrease manual processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances and conflicts.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Oversee all requests for LOA, FMLA, ADA and ensure consistency in responses for requests for LOA and accommodations.
  • Provide support in organizational efficiency, offering guidance on people-related issues, and driving effective people programs.
  • Partner with executive team on annual and bi-annual review and adjustment processes.
  • Oversee all worker's compensation incidents/accidents including claim status, documentation and managing oversight of each claim. Oversee OSHA reporting and sit on safety committee(s).
  • Ensure employees are enrolled in compliance courses via Grace Hill and monitor for completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in human resources management, with at least 5 years or experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) not required, but preferred.
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Rippling and Lattice is a plus.
