Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking a Project Managerto join our team of professionals in support of the Oracle/Linux Opportunity.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Responsible for liaising with the customer to garner an understanding of the environment, create and manage a migration plan, and ultimately ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with customer and Oracle to obtain un-distributed (retired) release patches for RHEL 7, & 8.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, budget, and risk assessments, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure the migration of ~75 Oracle Databases on RHEL 6 to Oracle Enterprise 8 before migration to Oracle, to reduce operational impact.
  • Ensure the migration of ~25-30 web applications from RHEL 7 to Oracle Enterprise 8 before migration to Oracle, to reduce operational impact.
  • Coordinate with customer to “freeze” release updates to Dev, AQ, and production environments one-by-one.
  • Ensure the migration of ~12 RHEL 8 databases/applications to Oracle.
  • Ensure database and application regression testing on ~75 databases and ~25-30 applications.
  • Ensure the implementation of DISA STIGs for ~100 Oracle Enterprise 8 instances.
  • Define project objectives and success metrics, aligning them with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide technical leadership across project teams, leveraging expertise to guide decision-making and problem-solving efforts utilizing Sprint planning/Scrum meetings.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of projects, identifying and employing the best technologies and methodologies for project needs.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Identify team members’ development needs, providing mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication to keep all parties informed of project progress, risks, and changes.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates and strategic advisory, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, adjusting project plans as necessary to address emerging challenges.
  • Oversee project budgeting, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet project objectives while maintaining financial efficiency.
  • Monitor and control project costs, providing regular financial reports to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards and comply with relevant industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to enforce compliance with established guidelines and standards.
  • Determine and allocate necessary resources (human, technical, informational) across project phases to ensure optimal team performance and project outcomes.
  • If used, manage and negotiate the use of external resources and vendors, ensuring their contributions align with project goals.
  • Lead projects through to successful completion, ensuring deliverables are met to stakeholders’ satisfaction within agreed-upon timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct project post-mortems to evaluate successes and lessons learned, applying insights to improve future project management practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within project teams by encouraging innovation and efficiency in processes and methodologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact and application within the organization to drive progress and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of project plans, progress, changes, and outcomes to facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations. Performs related work as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)

Mandatory

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience:
    • Recognized project management certification, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
    • Must have a minimum of 8 years in IT industry with experience in solution delivery with best practices of implementation and any possible pitfalls.
    • Proven experience working in an agile environment.
    • Must have previous experience as a Program Manager for developing schedules, tracking actions, and drive projects/programs to completion, controlling project/program schedule, program budget, and effort forecasting.
    • Strong understanding of Oracle Databases and RHEL environments.
    • 7 years managing large scale programs and projects spanning multiple technical teams and organizations.
    • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to render concise reports, summaries, and presentations.
  • Clearance:
    • US citizen with active DoD Secret (T3) clearance
