Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift operator to join the team! This individual will have good attendance, a forklift license, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Essential duties :

• Reads and understands shipping orders and receiving documents to accurately load and unload all materials according to detailed written and / or verbal instructions
• Reads and understands work orders to accurately pick and supply fabrication department with raw materials from inventory according to detailed written and / or verbal specifications and instructions
• Performs all duties necessary to physically load and unload trucks in a timely and efficient manner
• Verifies conformance to specifications using a tape measure
• Follow 5s and Safety policies and procedures
• Other duties, as assigned

Knowledge, skills, experience :

• Able to read, write and speak English
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to stand and walk for 8 hours
• Able to read measuring devices
• Valid Driver’s License

Education / Certifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Forklift License

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of eye protection while on the production floor as well as hearing protection in designated areas.

• The environment characteristics describe here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the position.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment which are moderate to loud, and exposed to temperature ranging from moderate to high depending on the time of year and location of the work being done.

Pay : $16 an hour
