Astrolab is looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting our employees and people operations initiatives. As a People Operations Generalist, you will support various aspects of employee relations, benefits administration, and employee engagement, promoting a positive company culture.
What you'll do:
- Manage employee data and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR policies and regulations
- Administer and support HR programs, initiatives, and events that promote employee engagement and well-being
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, benefits, and policies
- Collaborate with the people operations team to address employee concerns and provide guidance on HR-related matters
- Assist in organizing training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of people operations practices and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, or a business-related field with 2 years of experience in human resources OR 6 years of experience in in human resources in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices at the federal and state level (mainly California)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Work with a team of best-in-class engineers building the foundation of planetary surface exploration
