Job Description: The Registered Nurse supervises and provides patient care, performing direct and indirect nursing procedures. Performs patient assessment utilizing knowledge of the patient's disease process, pathophysiology, pharmacology and medication. Additionally, the Registered Nurse administers IV or PO medications to patients as ordered/directed by the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon/Anesthesia Provider, and monitors patients intraoperatively & postoperatively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients under the direction of an oral surgeon.
- Manage clinical patient flow by prioritizing patients and assigning personnel to various tasks.
- Draw up and administer medications as directed by an oral surgeon
- Inspect and maintain surgical, anesthesia, and emergency equipment & supplies.
Qualifications
- Current RN License
- Proficiency in patient assessment
- Experience in medication administration
- Knowledge of surgery and oral surgery procedures
- Strong background in outpatient nursing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems
- Skilled in catheterization and IV insertion
- Basic life support certification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
