Trivium - New England LLC is Hiring a Cook Near Hanover, NH

Cook

Position
To provide daily nutritional meals and will be expected to uphold all New Hampshire / Vermont state regulations.

Essential Duties

  • To educate and update yourself on NH / VT state regulations.
  • To keep the kitchen area clean and always ready for inspection.
  • To keep stock rooms or any storage area neat and clean.
  • Keeping all refrigerators and freezers cleaned and organized.
  • Ordering foods from the wholesalers as well as shopping for all other foods and supplies needed. This should be done with health and economics at the forefront.
  • Making sure that all meals prepared throughout the week are healthy and well balanced.
  • Making sure that all foods that are opened are labeled according to NH or VT regulations.
  • To follow medical orders for any client's special diet plan.
  • Keeping all equipment in working order. If something needs repairing, please communicate that information to your supervisor.
  • Being familiar with all emergency procedures and phone numbers.
  • Being open to clients helping in the kitchen. To keep certain chores available for them to help with.
  • Work positively with staff in a way that promotes development and strong staff morale.
  • Participate in organization meetings, special projects, and other related duties for the organization.
  • Support the mission of the organization with positive presentation.
  • Ability to correctly interpret and apply rules, policies and procedures, regulations, and standards in a consistent, systematic manner.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with all co-workers and clients.
  • Identify problem areas and help develop effective and efficient corrective action.
  • Work with team and other organization personnel to solve issues in a consistent manner.
  • Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements.
  • Regular and consistent attendance per an established schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Physical Demands
These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate items.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee must be able to travel between locations, and occasionally attend seminars which may require an overnight stay.

Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a home environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Work requires occasional weekend and/or evening work based upon the needs of the business.

Requirements/Qualifications
To perform this position successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily and will have the following experience and attributes:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Work will regularly take place on site.
  • If the employee is driving a company vehicle, a valid and current driver's license and the ability to maintain a driving record acceptable by the company insurer guidelines are required. The company will run a pre-hire and annual MVR to review the employee's driving record.
  • If the employee is driving to another work location in a personal vehicle, the employee should have a valid and current driver's license. Employees are not allowed to drive clients in personal vehicles.
