School Administrative Unit 70 is Hiring a Technology Support Specialist Near Hanover, NH

Marion Cross School (MCS) is seeking to hire a technology support specialist to provide end-user support to remedy computer, audio/visual, network, printing, and other technology-related issues in a timely and professional manner. This MCS team member will also be responsible for maintaining hardware inventory and coordinate disposal when appropriate. The candidate should communicate the status of technology Help Desk requests to users via ticketing system, phone, email, and other channels on an ongoing basis. A successful candidate should have an enthusiastic attitude and excellent problem solving and sleuthing skills. This specialist will work closely with the larger SAU 70 technical team members at the other schools and the district office. Position starts 7/1/2024, open until filled.

Position Duties And ResponsibilitiesExcept as expressly noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:
  • Provide end-user support to remedy computer, audio/visual, network, printing, and other technology-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Provide support remotely or onsite as appropriate.
  • Maintain hardware inventory and coordinate disposal when appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain printers and print servers.
  • Instruct users across a broad spectrum of skill levels. Interactions with both faculty and students will require strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Set up and configure new computers, printers, peripherals, and classroom audio-visual equipment.
  • Communicate the status of technology Help Desk requests to users via ticketing system, phone, email, and other channels on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate parts ordering and repairs of equipment (via local or ship-to vendors, or in-house)
  • Support users with macOS/iOS/ChromeOS and occasional Linux and Windows operating systems and applications in traditional and virtualized environments.
  • Deploy and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
  • Responsible for managing workstations, including patch management, policy management, software distribution, and endpoint protection.
  • Provide occasional after-hours setup of A/V or computing equipment for public events, board meetings, etc.
  • Ensure system reliability and performance through monitoring and infrastructure management.
  • Must comply with all SAU 70 District policy and building/department rules, procedures, practices, and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • Associates Degree or relevant experience in a related field
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience with Backup/Restore technologies preferred.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management systems, e.g., Mosyle preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency supporting macOS/iOS and ChromeOS. A Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with other learning technologies such as Interactive Boards, LCD Projectors, Document cameras, 3D Printers, CAD software, Web 2.0 tools preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies as required to troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of issues.
