Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various construction projects.

The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Site Supervisor/Foreman.

We are seeking motivated and reliable Construction Laborers to join our growing team and contribute to the creation of beautiful and functional pool environments.

Job Summary:

The Construction Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks on pool construction sites, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting skilled tradespeople. This role requires physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Preparation and Cleanup:

- Prepare pool construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards.

- Excavate and level sites for pool installation using hand and power tools.

- Clean up construction sites by removing debris and disposing of waste materials appropriately.

2. Material Handling:

- Load and unload construction materials, including pool tiles, concrete, plumbing supplies, and other pool-related materials.

- Distribute materials to designated locations on the construction site using wheelbarrows, hand trucks, or other equipment.

3. Construction Assistance:

- Assist skilled tradespeople such as pool installers, plumbers, and electricians in their tasks.

- Mix, pour, and spread concrete for pool foundations and surrounding areas.

- Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and braces.

- Operate hand and power tools, machinery, and equipment under supervision.

4. Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the Site Supervisor/Foreman immediately.

5. General Duties:

- Perform basic maintenance on equipment and tools.

- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete daily tasks.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project timelines are met.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor/Foreman.

Qualifications:

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) regularly.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

- Pool construction sites can be noisy, dusty, and hazardous.

- Work is typically performed outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions.

- Safety precautions must be followed at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $20-25 an hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
