We are a protein processor with four locations that distribute to Retail, Foodservice, and Industrial sectors. Our product range includes Beef, Chicken, Pork, Portion Control products, Marinated Meats, Fresh Ground Beef, Fully Cooked and Raw products.
We are currently seeking a Food Production Supervisor to join our team in Greeley, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising production employees to optimize quality, service, and efficiency in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Your highest priority will be the safety, development, and retention of your team. As the frontline leader in logistics, production, and food safety, you will be responsible for employee engagement, teamwork, and coaching.
You will also work with business partners to ensure a seamless flow of product and champion continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :
Supervise personnel in the day-to-day production operations to achieve yields, gross margins, and scheduling of both raw and finished goods.
Prioritize duties, delegate work assignments, and schedule employees to optimize production and sanitation functions.
Train and provide an environment for employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance.
Lead efforts in loss prevention, risk management, USDA compliance, and labor / employee relations.
Promote employee communication and involvement to foster department and company goodwill.
Coordinate with Human Resources to recruit, select, train, develop, and retain qualified talent.
Ensure that assigned employees meet performance standards and support business objectives.
Evaluate processes and methods to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Actively participate in safety efforts and ensure adherence to safe operating procedures.
Maintain and control departmental supplies, tools, and equipment.
Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with HACCP and USDA regulations.
Reports to : Production Manager
Qualifications :
3 years of progressive leadership experience in relevant commercial food operations.
Previous food processing experience, supervisory experience, and manufacturing knowledge preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and industry product reporting systems.
Effective communication skills and ability to deliver presentations on potentially controversial issues.
Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
We offer a base salary of $75K - $80K, annual bonus, (k) & Profit Sharing Plan, Group Health, Vision, Dental, Pharma and Welfare Benefit Plan, Life & AD&D insurance, EAP, 7 paid Holidays, and Vacation.
