Mol Belting Systems, Inc. is Hiring a Mechanical Engineer Near Grand Rapids, MI
Applies engineering principles to develop solutions for products and equipment. Provides technical support to sales, production, and quality departments. Takes projects from concept through design and build to implementation and support. Works with maintenance staff and contractors; ensuring that all work is completed to satisfactory levels and in a timely manner.
Duties include:
- Design of machines, fixtures, and products.
- Perform computations and conduct tests to ensure design performance.
- Evaluate components, products, vendors, and applications.
- Design, specify, and conduct experiments.
- Drive projects involving internal and external resources.
- Work with Quality, Production, and Maintenance to define and develop production processes.
- Serve as a general technical resource for other departments.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Comfortable working with hand tools and manual machining equipment to produce prototypes and construct tests.
· Able to manage more than one project at a time
· Attentive to details
Desirable attributes:
· Familiar with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mathcad, MS Office
· Possess a working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
· Interest in PLC programming or organic chemistry
