Position Summary:

A large distributor of specialty products in the US is currently seeking an Operations Manager in Goshen, New York. The Operations/Manager contributes to the profitability of the operation by Managing and assisting with scheduling, verifying/reconciling all inbound, Put away, replenishment, Picking, Staging, Outbound movements and financial site postings within the organization.

Essential Functions

· Ensure accurate and timely receipt of merchandise and recording of key scheduling metrics including achieving dock to stock process goals

· Coordinate all inbound shipments including transfers from 3rd party warehouses throughout the receiving area to maintain an efficient flow of merchandise through the warehouse operation

· Supervise, train, and develop associates through ongoing coaching, ensuring understanding of company objectives and reasonable expectancy.

· Analyze workload and adjust staff accordingly to accomplish departmental goals.

· Improve quality assurance and inspection

· Partner with other Department Managers, Supervisors and Leads to achieve overall shift and building goals including Inventory Control, Safety Awareness, Facility Audits in addition to Associate training/certification

· Oversee and Manage/Track RF and Forklift Equipment, including Red Tagging compliance

· Reconcile any Receiving discrepancies to ensure inventory integrity

· Collaborate and communicate with various departments regarding inventory discrepancies and possible root cause and resolutions

· Solve problems and make informed decisions that affect the associates, service, and productivity of his or her department. Provide feedback to upper management on associates’ concerns and work on resolutions.

· Manage outbound operational areas including: scheduling, dropping orders, picking, loading and shipping

· Set the agenda for daily huddles and weekly meetings, communicating goals, objectives and company directives.

· Ensure associate safety through education and training, promoting safety awareness and accountability, and addressing potential hazard

Pay: From $69,754.00 per year
