As an Inside Account Manager with A3IM, you will have direct and daily contact with our customers and suppliers. The Inside Account Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sales forecasting, account analysis, and the RFQ process. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work closely with suppliers and customers, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the success of our organization. This role does require a level of technical aptitude. You will talk daily to instrument and maintenance personnel within chemical plants and refineries. The position is fast paced and requires excellent communication, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and customers, ensuring timely communication, negotiation of terms, and resolution of issues
  • Utilize sales forecasting techniques and market analysis to predict demand, optimize inventory levels, and drive revenue growth
  • Conduct thorough account analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and develop strategies to maximize sales and profitability
  • Lead the RFQ process, including gathering requirements, preparing quotations, negotiating terms, and securing orders
  • Establish and manage customer requirements, including quote follow-ups and pro-expedite purchase orders
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on supplier performance, sales forecasts, account analysis, and RFQ activity
  • Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and suggest improvements.
  • Specify and recommend products to customers based off customers’ process data
  • Monitor & Manage Customer Order Management Systems – Portals, Ariba, SAP, GSAP

Responsibilities Specific for Back-up to Distribution Center and VMI Specialist Include:

  • Unloading of all motor freight, UPS, and other incoming shipments.
  • Handle all aspects of stock put ups and slotting locations
  • Pack, weigh, and process UPS shipments
  • Print delivery tickets to fulfillment, pull materials, and verify purchase order notes
  • Create bill of ladings for motor freight shipments
  • Arrange for pick-up of motor freight shipments /load motor freight
  • Manage warehouse stock, customer project, VMI and turnaround staged materials
  • Basic housekeeping of warehouse
  • Attend mandatory quarterly inventory counts
  • Management of customer stock levels at multiple sites ensuring that min-max levels are met, the correct material is delivered and stocked, the overall customer location of the material is clean and organized
  • Management of turnaround trailer inventory as necessary
  • Management of vending machine inventory as necessary
  • Attend all mandatory customer site trainings to ensure site drive in status remains in effect

Skills you’ll need:

  • 2-year technical degree
  • 2-5 years’ experience in supplier relations, sales forecasting or Account Management
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass and maintain a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
  • Ability to move up to 100 lb., lift 50 lb. and have the height to load and unload material from pipe rack on delivery truck
  • Be forklift certified or willing to obtain certification
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends if necessary and when on call
  • TWIC card or TWIC card eligible
