Job Summary:

Position: Pathologists' Assistant

Location: Glens Falls, NY

Facility: Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed hours: 40/week

Shift: Days, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $65-70

Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree Required (Masters Preferred)

- Certification as a Pathologist Assistant (PA) preferred

- Previous Pathology Assistant experience current to 12 months - Required

- BLS (AHA)

- ASCP - Required

- NY PA License - Required

- MUST be competent in performing FROZEN SECTIONS, GROSSING BIOPSIES AND LARGE

COMPLEX SPECIMENS

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pathologist Assistant to join our team. As a Pathologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in

• Independent judgement and initiative required to schedule, organize, and plan work.
• Responsible for care and accuracy in collection and labeling specimens.
• Flexibility and adaptability in emergency situations including working additional hours or shifts.
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and alertly for extended periods of time, and under stress.
• Knowledge of HIS and LIS, assorted laboratory instrumentation appropriate to scope of position and dependent upon current technology.
