EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Financial Analyst in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD. Responsibilities: Provide financial support for North America Consumer Division in all aspects of analyzing and reporting group financial results to include in-depth analysis of revenues, costs, Balance Sheet, and cash flow. Work closely with Hughes Accounting organization to close the book each month and assure accounting policies and procedures have been implemented properly. Assist the Consumer Finance team and Consumer management team with monthly analysis of financial results, monthly updates to forecasts, and the annual budget process. Work closely with Consumer business group and management to prepare financial analysis necessary in understanding business performance. Proactively seeking ways to improve existing reporting and forecasting processes, identify specific areas and processes for automation, and enhance business and program economics. Assist Consumer group in special projects as needed. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 3 years’ experience performing business and financial analysis Preferred Requirements: Strong knowledge in data mining and modeling Strong attention to detail Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance Highly knowledgeable in financial statements A strong foundation in mathematics, statistics and programming Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance #LI-EM1 EchoStar is committed to offering a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
