International Staffing Services is currently hiring for a Quality Technician position in the city of Garden Grove.

Company: In Garden Grove

Shift: 2nd shift

Pay: DOE $18 to $26

SUMMARY:

  • It is the primary function of the Quality Technician to perform and monitor the following phases of the Quality Assurance System of the company, this includes, but is not limited to the following; First Article Inspection, In-Process inspection, Final Inspection, The Quality Technician shall be familiar and be able to perform the phases of the quality system requirements that are applicable to his/her job description as defined in the Quality System of Bazz Houston International.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to perform all duties below, as a minimum:
  • Performs all phases of inspection: first article, in-process and receiving inspection using precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, optical comparators, and others.
  • Must be able to disposition and discuss if products are acceptable or rejectable.
  • Performs final inspection and approves or rejects products for shipments through verification of all processes and requirements required by customers’ purchase orders.
  • Performs floor audits and verifies that in-process control checks are performed at established frequencies, documentations are properly filled out and instructions are being followed.
  • Reports, isolates and identifies suspect and nonconforming products and out of control condition.
  • Scans and files quality records; assists in internal calibration and other quality function.
  • Abides by all company policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook, policy manuals, work instructions, bulletins and dated memos.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The Quality Technician “C” shall be able to oversee all aspects of inspection

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or minimum three years equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as material certificates, prints, operating instructions, procedures and safety rules in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • The quality technician shall have the basic technical math skills to use basic mathematical functions. This includes the ability to read angles, degrees and convert from inches to millimeters and vice versa.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

SPECIAL INDUSTRY SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • General knowledge of metal stamping.

  • The work environment is typical of a medium sized metal forming manufacturing facility. Hearing protection and safety glasses are provided.
