Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at the downtown Los Angeles Farmers Market. The Sales Representative will play a key role in driving sales growth and promoting our market's offerings to customers, vendors, and community partners.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new customers, increase revenue, and expand market reach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, vendors, and community partners to enhance loyalty and satisfaction.
• Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to showcase our market's products and services at local events, festivals, and community gatherings.
• Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to educate customers about our vendors' offerings and encourage sales.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
• Collaborate with vendors and market management team to identify market trends, customer preferences, and product opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify areas for growth and improvement.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress towards sales goals and objectives.
• Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and regulatory requirements affecting the farmers market industry.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional education or training in sales, marketing, or business administration preferred.
• Proven experience in sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail, market, or food industry environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers and vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach to sales.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Knowledge of local market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the farmers market industry.
• Proficiency in using sales software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed to support farmers market operations.
