Marketing Internship

Summary

Works closely with the Marketing Director and management to coordinate projects and activities for marketing products or services.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Coordinates the creation and production of sales, marketing, and packaging materials.

• Works with Marketing Director to coordinate advertising schedules and placement

• Reviews specification sheets, obtains, and prepares bids, and acts as liaison with vendors in such areas as delivering marketing materials, scheduling proofs, and meetings

• Directs and coordinates promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.

• Maintains customer database and generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for direct marketing projects

• Compiles and produces sales and marketing reports

• Regularly perform market research to remain apprised of changes and new programs

• Maintain campaign consistency through all marketing mediums

• Manage social media presence

• Maintain inventory of and distribute company merchandise to employees and customers as needed and at the direction of the Marketing Director.

• Tracks, collates, and maintains inventory of marketing materials

• Work with Creative Director to maintain inventory of imagery and videography in promotion of company products and services

• Coordinates trade show exhibits, promotions, packaging, shipping and staff travel plans, and travels to and participates in trade shows when necessary

• Helps prepare for involvement in community organizations and events by scheduling team and updating dispatch of assignments.

• Manages yard sign contest

• Attend various intercompany and out of organization meetings

• Additional duties as prescribed by the Marketing Director

Education and/or Experience

Prior marketing experience required and/or actively working towards a degree in the field.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Adobe Pro & Photoshop Design software, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and Explorer & Google Chrome Internet search engines. Exposure to Service Tian software is also beneficial.
