The Opportunity : Human Resources (HR) Specialist

Are you ready to be the heartbeat of our HR operations? As an HR Specialist at LandCare, you'll be a key player supporting our human resources functions with precision and passion.

Your role involves not just administering day-to-day HR processes, but also being the driving force behind creating an exceptional employee experience.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • HRIS Navigator : Manage UKG Pro with finesse, overseeing onboarding, traverse employee profiles and more.
  • Data Efficiency : Process employee changes and transactions accurately, from promotions to job title changes.
  • System Support : Collaborate on system enhancements and upgrades, ensuring smooth processes in UKG Pro, HireRight, and related systems.
  • Compliance Champion : Tackle HR compliance head-on, covering E-Verify, I-9s, background checks, audits, and more.
  • Reporting Wizardy : Generate internal and external reports, meeting management needs and compliance requirements.
  • Customer Service Extraordinaire : Develop strong relationships and provide top-notch service to employees and branch leadership teams on HR matters.
  • Efficiency Guru : Identify and implement ways to streamline processes, reducing turnaround time without compromising accuracy.
  • HR Processes Guide : Train branch office managers, ensuring they’re equipped to provide top-notch HR services to their teams.
  • Talent Scout : Dive into talent acquisition activities, amplifying LandCare’s collegiate recruiting efforts, and fueling the growth of our Business Internship Program.

Requirements

  • Education : Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience : 1-3 years in HR or a related field, especially in a multi-site organization supporting 1,000 employees.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with federal / state / local laws and HRIS systems UKG Pro preferred but not required.
  • Skills : Proficient in communication, problem-solving, and organization. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.
  • Other : Successfully pass a criminal background check.
