Advantage Technical is Hiring a Project Manager (DOD Experience Required) Near Franklin, MA
The qualified candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in project management and DoD-related work experience. The Deputy Project Manager will help support the delivery of cutting-edge technology and systems on the new state-of-the-art, aircraft carriers and submarines. The candidate will communicate with all departments, customers, and the Navy.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Program Manager with creating program plans including the development of a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for management of scope to ensure alignment with contract requirements, budgets, and internal commitments.
- Assist the Program Manager with the monitoring and assessment of the program performance against plan (schedule and financial).
- Work with the project team to help identify risk and scope changes, and develop and implement corrective action when necessary to initiate program changes. Maintain MS Schedule regularly.
- Assist the Program Manager with the review of Production Contracts to ensure execution alignment.
- Assist the Program Manager with the control of expenditures per the project budget and report monthly on the project budget to actual performance via the Estimate to Complete (ETC) process.
- Understand the role and responsibility of each program team member, and be able to communicate to team members the program’s scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
Qualifications:
- Support the Program Manager with the development of the program’s resources. Direct assigned program resources. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical, preferred).
- 2-3 years’ experience in project management.
- DoD related work experience.
- IWS (Integrated Master Schedule), WBS (Work Breakdown Schedule), and MS Project (preferred)
