Summary

 Responsible for providing general administrative and sales support to the Commercial Banking team. This includes client service and processing of loan and deposit products through the entire client life cycle; coordinating work within the department as well as with other departments; and responding to inquiries or requests for information. Involves daily interaction with a diverse group of clients, external vendors, and interaction with internal staff at all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Primary loan customer contact for Commercial Banking
  • Services internal and external customers with excellent customer service which includes answering customer queries and completing administrative work to process loan and deposit requests
  • Answer phones and greet clients; answer client questions regarding bank products and services
  • Facilitate loan collections in collaboration with Commercial Banker
  • Facilitates and manages credit application workflow as it applies to the appropriate credit channel including collecting financial information from client, submitting applications, and managing loan workflow to closing.
  • Ordering Appraisals, Title Work, and Flood Certifications
  • Facilitate draw requests
  • Closes and funds new loans and renewals in coordination with Commercial Banker
  • Follow up on collateral exceptions and financial statement requests on a regular basis and as needed for new credit requests.
  • Helps manage the calendars of assigned Commercial Bankers
  • Identification of cross-selling opportunities and assisting in facilitating setup of other non-loan products and services.
  • Provide accurate support to the Commercial Banker
  • Assists with ongoing review of credit files to ensure accuracy, including preparation of files for internal/external audits and annual reviews
  • Gather customer data needed to prepare loan documentation, modifications, etc.
  • Works closely with Cash Management to successfully onboard new Cash Management clients, as well as provide guidance to Cash Management clients to the appropriate resource for servicing.
  • Manages commercial loan maturity pipeline, ensuring that renewals are approved and closed in a timely manner.
  • Attends scheduled meetings with commercial loan team to discuss workflow items such as renewals, new pipeline items, servicing requests, past due reports, etc.
  • Prepare reports
  • Performs new note edits on Commercial Mortgage Loans.
  • Promote the bank’s products and services
  • Strive to meet/exceed established Department and individual goals while taking ownership of achieving those goals
  • Contribute to a positive working environment that facilitates exceptional service and employee engagement
  • Ensure continuous training and development for self
  • Follow policies and procedures to protect the bank from risk and exposure

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment. This position

requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift, bend, or stand as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Full-time employee must work 30-40 hours per week average to maintain full-time status.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Four or more years commercial loan process/documentation experience preferred
  • Notary Public, or the willingness and ability to become one
