Job Description

The Peer Recovery Support Specialist plays a vital role in our community-based recovery initiation model, identifying individuals struggling with substance use and/or mental health issues. You will bring client-centered, self-directed recovery pathways and support choices directly to our clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing peer support services to individuals seeking recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges

• Establishing supportive relationships built on rapport, engagement, hope, and trust

• Assessing needs and connecting clients to appropriate recovery resources and services

• Developing individualized recovery plans and safety plans

• Assisting with crisis management and de-escalation tactics when needed

• Providing ongoing follow-up and continued support for sustained recovery

• Documenting client interactions and reporting to clinical team members

• Coordinating with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED

• Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Community Health Worker (CHW), or CAPRC certification preferred

• Lived experience and personal recovery journey

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles

• Proficiency with technology and capable of working in a team environment

Hours & Pay

Full and part-time positions available, hours vary depending on specific job functions

Competitive compensation based on certification level and experience. Example range:

- $16 - $18 per hour
