Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm, and Fridays 7:30am-2pm (In-Office)

Purpose:

This position is responsible for Fleet and Equipment oversight. This includes coordinating all maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, maintenance, warranties,bid analysis, reviewing and auditing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an ongoing preventive/corrective fleet maintenance program which sets the standard for service excellence.
  • Reviews reports including road call issues, breakdowns, repairs and safety performance.
  • Assures all maintenance related data is updated in the Vista Equipment Management system
  • Oversees repairs, parts, warranties, recalls, and schedules maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Responsible for implementation/monitoring of all fleer maintenance activities (e.g. Pre/Post pre trip, warranties, tire standards, oil/lubricants, major component failures, and all new initiatives)
  • Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
  • Ensure that IDs are assigned to all equipment and vehicles for tracking and identification per crew
  • Create a culture of preventive maintenance program on all our equipment, vehicles, heavy/light equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend modifications and/or alternate vendors based on maintenance and costing information.
  • Analyze service issues related to fleet maintenance and perform root cause analysis, recommends remediation methods and escalates issues as needed.
  • Maintain, update, and reports out of service equipment matched to inventory/asset listing.
  • Act as a liaison between Operations, Finance, and Shop personnel
  • Quality management in planning equipment mobilization to reduce downtime and proactive counter measures to maximize operations.
  • Support operations team to specify equipment requirements that optimizes field productivity and minimize the life cycle cost of equipment.
  • Suggest useful metrics to support fleet quality and maintenance performance.
  • Provide hands-on maintenance assistance as needed.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Logistics:

  • Optimizing cost and efficiency in loading/unloading equipment
  • Coordinate movement of equipment between jobs and home office ensuring proper inspections and optimization is being met
  • Continuous field communication

Job Support:

  • Leadership, training, development, and oversight of proper procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Provide support to Field Managers for equipment repairs, back-up, and replacement equipment outside of normal business hours.
  • Complying with DOT and OSHA requirements

Required Skills and/Abilities:

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with rapidly changing priorities
  • Able to interface and communicate with all levels of employees and management
  • Highly autonomous, self-directed, organized and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software
  • Automotive claims and maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver License

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of Fleet Management experience preferred.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with Vista by Viewpoint preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting and working on a computer
  • Able to lift 15 pounds at a time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
