The Office of Engagement and Extension ( OEE ) was organized in 2006 to advance CSU’s engagement and outreach missions. OEE includes CSU Extension, CSU Extended Campus (including CSU Online), the Colorado Water Center and a variety of vibrant programs that engage the teaching, research, extension, and service missions of Colorado State University.

The Vice President for Engagement and Extension ( VPEE ) is the principal administrative, academic, and fiscal officer for the division, reports to the CSU President, and works closely with the Provost / Executive Vice President.

OEE works collaboratively across all Colleges and offices on campus, and has strong engagement programs throughout Colorado, the Western US and globally.

At any given time, OEE includes over 400 employees. The total of budgets is approximately $85 million. OEE is one of the most institutionally comprehensive commitments to engagement and outreach among all land-grant and other universities.

Position SummaryThe Marketing and Communications Coordinator Specialist is an entry level position in the Office of Engagement & Extension Marketing and Communications team.

The coordinator positions supports marketing and communications tactics across channels, including design, story development for traditional print and online (including web, intranet, social and email) communications platforms, advertising, and reporting with guidance, direction and approvals from department managers and leaders.

  • This position supports our overall department aims : to support development of quality programming that meets learner / community needs;
  • to enable access and expanded reach; to increase awareness; to position and align OEE and CSU brands; to nurture relationships, partnerships and prospective learners;

and to share stories of impact across Colorado and beyond.Required Job Qualifications Completed bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

  • One year of experience in Marketing and Communications work. Experience may include student work experience. Experience writing and editing copy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Marketing and Communications channels. Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Job Qualifications Understanding of and experience with channel reporting tools and metrics, including Google Analytics and internal reporting tools to collect and analyze relevant data.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industry software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), WordPress and Canva.
