Frontier Business Products has an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant. Frontier Business Products has been providing quality products and services to Colorado Businesses for over 40 years. Summary of Accounting Assistant Position:

The Accounting Assistant performs full charge bookkeeping for Company’s leasing company. Also responsible for Frontier’s accounts payable and sales taxes functions.

Schedule is M- F; business hours 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed.

Requirements of the Accounting Assistant:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college or accounting courses preferred.
  • 2 – 3 years Accounting experience required, previous sales tax reporting and compliance preferred as FBP collects and remits for more than 100 jurisdictions, including multiple states.

Knowledge, Attributes and Requirements

· Job Knowledge - Strong working knowledge of accounting and analytical skills

· Work independently – Self-motivated to get the projects done efficiently and correctly. Able to work with limited supervision.

· Language – Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language. Speaks clearly. Able to write professional emails. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others.

· Attention to Detail - Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks. Able to see details at close range

· Time Management - Managing one's own time and meeting strict deadlines.

· Teamwork – the ability to collaborate and cooperate to get the job done.

· Multi-tasking – The ability to handle many tasks of considerable variety; ability to switch gears among tasks quickly.

· Computer/Equipment – Ability to use and learn multiple computer software and systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Work environment - Be required to stand, walk and sit. Sedentary for large portions of the day. Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds

Working Environment and Physical Requirements

· Noise level is usually moderate; fast paced office environment

· Ability to see details at close range.
