Avnan is Hiring an Account Executive Near Foothill Ranch, CA

PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote-first position open to applicants from the US and Canada. The hiring process is led by the team at Avnan but you will work hand in hand with the folks at Allied.

Allied Components International, a division of Avnan, is a leading provider of high-quality magnetic components, serving a wide range of industries globally. We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Account Executive with industry knowledge and over 5 years of progressive sales experience. The ideal candidate will bring a creative approach to driving strategic growth in SMBs.

As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing strong relationships with our valued customers while also uncovering thrilling new accounts for our magnetic components in the electronics industry. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working alongside component distributors, manufacturer representatives, or component manufacturers.

This remote-first position offers significant autonomy and abundant growth opportunities. While the role might require you to travel up to 10% of the time, this requirement is subject to change. This opportunity offers flexible working hours with core required hours are from 10 AM to 3 PM ET. This ensures effective collaboration with the team across both Eastern and Pacific Time zones.

What You’ll be Doing:

Account Management and Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and close new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Attend tradeshows and industry events to cultivate new accounts and opportunities.

Customer Relationship

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Understand customers’ technical needs and offer practical, valuable solutions.
  • Prepare and present persuasive sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospects and customers.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements to maximize profitability and foster long-term partnerships.

Sales Activities and Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Maintain sales activities and dashboard, including pipeline management, account calls, quotes, and meeting minutes in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and operations, to meet customer expectations and commitments.
  • Ensure that customers’ orders are fulfilled within the expected time frame, budget, and specifications.
  • Provide insights on customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor activities to the marketing team.

About You:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field 
  • 5 years of demonstrated success in sales within the electronic industry, preferably with component distributors, manufacturer representatives, or manufacturers.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets while driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a history of closing sales and securing profitable deals.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments, particularly in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, attend tradeshows, and other industry events.

Technical Proficiency and Tools

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is an asset.
