ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Prep Cook at the Florence Center. Summary This is a hands-on position responsible for the production of cold foods under the direction of the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef and/or Lead Line Cook. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the preparation of cut vegetables, baked goods and hot/cold sauces. Maintains organized sanitary workstation at all times. · Properly labels and dates food items for storage. Uses cutlery and kitchen machinery. Minimizes waste by following established production techniques. · Follows approved recipes and production standards. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and or the Director of Food & Beverage Qualifications/ Skills and Abilities Ability to produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to follow recipes and perform basic math in order to calculate production demands. Strong knowledge of sanitary practices. Ability to become ServSafe Certified. Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards. Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment. Education and/or Experience One year of experience as a prep cook, not including fast-food or short-order cooking.
