We are looking to hire a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Fairfax, VA. Medical Assistants play a vital role on our team and we are looking for a motivated, positive, experienced individual to fill this role. We are looking for someone to start this month (April 2023). Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Experience with:

• Rooming patients
• Cleaning and setting up rooms
• Scribing for Dermatologist or Dermatology PA
• Helping with procedures
• Taking and documenting thorough medical histories
• Using sterile technique

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting patients, rooming them, and preparing for them to be seen by the physician or PA
• Preparing rooms for procedures and patient care
• Taking histories and documenting photos in Electronic Medical Records
• Assisting the physician or PA with patient care by: collecting and processing specimen, removing sutures, scribing information into Electronic Medical Record, contacting patients, and other position related duties as assigned by the physician or PA

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• At least 2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is recommended
• Pre-PA and pre-medicine students encouraged to apply
• Computer proficiency including apple devices, Electronic Medical Record systems, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, patients, and visitors
• Time management skills and ability to manage an organized patient flow

Hours and Location:

• Mondays 8:00-4:30:
• One Monday a month 10-6:30 (later start and end time with Physician Assistant)
• One Monday a month at Chevy Chase Location
• Tuesday through Friday 8:00-4:30

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
