Job Description
Junior Accountant
At Insight Memory Care Center, we are committed to providing specialized care, support, and education for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments, through our adult day health and resource center. The ideal candidate for the Junior Accountant position will have a degree in accounting, experience with QuickBooks, and at least 1 year of accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
- Issue client invoices and manage billing and collections processes
- Process accounts payable invoices - transaction entry and processing
- Monitor and review financial records in accordance with all accounting, auditing and regulatory pronouncements and Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and rules
- Aid the Accounting Manager in preparation of analysis and schedules for the year-end closing of the general ledger
- Conduct accounting procedures for fixed assets, journal entries, fund transfers, audits, payments, and reconciliations
- Review payroll for accuracy and completion
- Manage ad hoc requests including unscheduled requests, tasks, and phone calls
- Assist in preparation of internal financial and grant reports as needed
- Assist on other projects as needed
- Provide excellent accounting-related client customer service and support
- Assist in identifying opportunities in the accounting systems to streamline processes
Requirements:
- Degree in accountingÂ
- 1 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong understanding of GAAP
