POSITION: Human Resources Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
STATUS: Full-time / non-exempt
FACILITIES: Bayfront Convention Center, Erie Insurance Arena, Warner Theatre, and UPMC Ballpark
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
HOURLY RANGE: $18.50 - $25.50 per hour Comprehensive Benefits Package
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator will assist the Director of Human Resources in fostering a creative, and energetic work environment. He/she will coordinate, and assist in practices, and programs that continue to enhance the employee experience. This position will help the Director of Human Resources maintain an environment in which staff are engaged, valued, and developed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma or equivalent.
•2 years minimum of related experience.
•Proficient experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
•Interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships with management and employees.
•Strong organization, prioritization, project management skill set.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic.
•Ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAIL:
•Assists the Director of Human Resources in the coordination, and oversight of Erie Events internship program.
•Works side by side with department heads in fostering and maintaining a positive employee onboarding experience through orientation, on the job training programs and intermittent check-ins.
•Will assist the Erie Insurance Arena Food & Beverage Department in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of the charitable organization groups.
•Oversees various Erie Events employee recognition programs.
•Assists the Director of Human Resources in the coordination of all employee appreciation events, including event execution.
•Will maintain the optimization area of our HR software, UKG Pro, focusing on employee engagement in Erie Events HRIS system.
•He/she will assist the Director of Human Resources in any new employee initiatives.
•He/she will assist in conducting employee investigations, and will participate in labor relations issues as they arise.
•He/she will onboard, coordinate, and monitor compliance with law/regulations specifically relating to minors.
•Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
•He/she will recommend any programs or ideas to the Director of Human Resources that will enhance the employee experience.
•He/she will act as a back up to the other Human Resources Coordinator in the department and will be cross trained in all functions.
•Will assist in the coordination and execution of employee trainings.
•He/she will serve as a resource to assist with any employee related questions that may arise.
•He/she will help employees in accessing the UKG desktop/app and or help troubleshoot issues that may arise.
•Filing as needed.
•Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
•Assists with projects as needed.
•Other duties as assigned.
