Position Overview :
We are seeking a Prep Cook to join our culinary team at Ellensburg Pasta Company. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen by assisting in the preparation of ingredients and dishes.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare pasta (be able to lift 40 lb. of hot water)
- Slice, dice, and chop vegetables and meats according to recipe specifications.
- Portion ingredients accurately to maintain consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to uphold sanitary standards.
- Collaborate closely with chef and fellow team members to uphold quality and efficiency in food preparation.
Requirements :
- Ability to work Friday through Monday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, averaging 30 hours per week.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs to handle kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Preferred experience in cooking and prep work, although we are willing to provide training for candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality food to our guests.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compensation :
This position offers a competitive wage of $19 per hour. Depending on job performance, additional hours, responsibilities, and compensation may be negotiated.
