The Position

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, with core responsibilities of driving month-end, modeling cash and performance, building forecasts for corporate and product leaders, and supporting operations with the business intelligence and financial insight to help the organization set and achieve aggressive, yet realistic objectives. The Finance Manager will work closely with the management team to achieve optimal deployment and utilization of organizational resources to achieve desired growth and operational outcomes, while building and maintaining the organization’s reputation as a service provider and employer of choice in the markets served.

Key functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary leadership team to define and understand operational and business objectives, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to establish benchmarks and evaluate success criteria
  • Collaborating with Business Unit heads to build monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic, and other business decisions
  • Analyzing performance data from business, operations, and software systems to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Converting business performance objectives and requirements into clear and actionable reports and presentations
  • Building and testing interactive reports, analytics, and dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other suitable software, providing stakeholders with real-time access to relevant data
  • Supporting organization and standardization of data initiatives by developing requirements and leading implementation of data warehouse solutions to assist with providing meaningful insight
  • Executing queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from databases, Excel spreadsheets, and other relevant sources to support reporting and data analysis requirements
  • Collaborating with operational teams to drive performance improvement initiatives based on analytical insights and best practices, identifying areas for optimization, efficiency, and process enhancements
  • Working in a highly collaborative manner, engaging with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of analytical solutions.
  • Leveraging project management skills to coordinate tasks, timelines, and resources effectively


The Successful Candidate

The Finance Manager is a consummate professional, demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to function as a key contributor the organization’s FP&A function. These competencies include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5 years of analyst-level experience in a high accountability environment
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Master’s degree and experience with Power BI preferred, but not required
  • Outstanding leadership skills with demonstrated experience motivating, educating, supervising, and supporting staff and developing a cohesive team
  • Ability to build collateral required to communicate complex solutions for internal and external executive audiences
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and common web programs
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills, including deep experience with pivot tables, data structures, shortcut keys, and a wide variety of formulas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize competing demands
  • Self-motivated, self-starting personality
  • Ability to work onsite 3 days per week
  • Ability to travel as required by the role (minimal)
  • Positive mental attitude
