Job Description

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

  • Ensuring training matrix is up to date, create a monthly training schedule, and support/guide supervisors on providing the training.
  • Updating employee STOP card and Field Level Risk Assessment inputs and compliance
  • Reviewing HSE related KPI's in order to target areas of improvement.
  • Ensuring corporate and site-specific programs and procedures are developed and implemented, such as industrial Hygiene monitoring programs.
  • Participating in monthly HSE Leads call to ensure the sites are informed of any changes required by Corporate HSE
  • Overseeing contractors and activities during on-site projects to ensure compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations in addition to all H&S site requirements.
  • Completing daily Work Permits as required.
  • Meeting and update with the site HSE Business Partner on a daily basis
  • Updating and monitor Corporate and Site Pandemic procedures and compliance.
  • Weekly and monthly checks on safety equipment (eyewash stations, showers, etc.)

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE.

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in occupational health and safety from accredited University or College
  • A minimum of three (3) years health & safety experience – preferred
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) and interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SharePoint, etc.
  • Strong technical writing skills to be able to create documents for an adult learning audience.
  • Strong commitment to the Health and Safety and the Environment
  • Knowledge of health, safety and/or environmental legislation will be an asset.
  • Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment would be an asset.
