Job Description

The Accountant will report to the Senior Director– Finance, and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of Appcast’s books. This role will support various teams across the business and collaborate internally with finance teammates to ensure accuracy of all accounting tasks. 

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting the Senior Director - Finance with overall accuracy and completeness of all financial aspects of the company. 
• Assist with execution of month-end and year-end close processes. 
• Lead the preparation of monthly items, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, and rebate calculations. 
• Book monthly journal entries (payroll, amortization, depreciation, interest, accruals, prepaid expenses, intra-dept reclasses, commissions, ROU Assets, lease liabilities, etc.). 
• Assist billing and collections with various invoicing tasks. 
• Set-up prepaid expense amortization and fixed asset generation. 
• Assist with quarterly bank reporting and covenant calculations. 
• Assist with annual audit schedule preparation and overall requests. 
• Assist with quarterly tax payments and booking into our ERP. 
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and uploads to FQ for close purposes. 

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of basic accounting procedures. 
• In depth understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP). 
• Moderate to advanced level of proficiency with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks etc. 
• Confidence using financial software such as an ERP system. Experience with FinancialForce is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of Accounting experience, preferably with public accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes. 

Travel Requirements

• Travel for this position may include travel to attend internal and external meetings, however, this may vary based on business needs and opportunities.

Expected Salary Range: $62,500 - $104,500
