Our Teacher assistants and floaters help to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assist in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Possess a willingness and desire to implement a quality educational program and develop positive relationships with the children and their parents. Teacher assistants are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the lead teacher and other senior management members. Teacher assistants and floaters must be flexible and acceptable to regular change. One two days may not be the same.
Duties
- Provide superior, gentle care to our little ones to possibly include regular diaper changing, assistance with feeding, interaction and play, etc.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Asist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage children participation.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center and child care center to home.
Requirements
- Ideally, you'll have at least six (6) months to one (1) year of professional child care experience. If not, you must show signs that you are coachable, eager to learn, PATIENT and COMPASSIONATE towards children.
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- An understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain through company.
- Must clear full background check
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be punctual and adhere to strict attendance guidelines.
- Must have a professional presence.
