JOB DESCRIPTION

Rowland Truck Lines has an immediate opening for a full-time Customer Service Representative. The CSR is expected to complete all customer service activities associated with Operations in a timely, efficient, correct, and professional manner. Pay is commensurate with experience. Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, accident, critical illness) offered the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Paid vacation and 401(k) with company match after 1 year of service.

JOB DUTIES | What will you be doing?

• Accepting and soliciting load tenders from customers
• Scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments
• Entering load data into the TMW system
• Tracking and requesting detention pay
• Processing driver trip envelopes
• Working closely with Planners and Driver Managers to handle changes in loads or other load exceptions
• Working closely with Billing to improve billing performance
• Completing service reports as requested
• Maintaining accurate customer records
• Answering phones and responding to emails
• Maintaining a high level of engagement in a fast-paced environment
• Cultivating positive working relationships with other staff, drivers, and customers
• Other daily tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS | Is this role a good fit for you?

• Minimum 1 year customer service experience required
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn about the transportation industry
• Highly adaptable with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to type at least 30 wpm
• Computer proficient with the ability to navigate between multiple programs
• Excellent oral communication and writing skills

DETAILS | What are the hours and pay?

• Full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Starting pay is $17 - $20/hour
• Results of 90-day review to determine potential pay increase
