JOB DESCRIPTION: Security Person-Outdoor Position

NON-EXEMPT

RESPONSIBILTIES

Position

We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team! This individual would be responsible for all physical security measurements. The ideal person would have an extreme attention to detail and is reliable in an independent role. This is an outdoor position. The ideal candidate must be able to tolerate New England weather.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce Pure Oasis’s safety and security procedures.
• Enthusiastically greet all customers, staff and visitors prior to entering the building.
• Check identification of all customers and visitors before permitting them inside the building. Ensure identification meets required CCC guidelines.
• Monitor the security cameras and help prevent/investigate diversion.
• Responsible for de-escalation of customer issues.
• Always remain alert and aware of customer and passerby traffic.
• Receive packages/deliveries.
• Assist with general store issues.
• Write various reports (post event and informational).
• Develop action plans to ensure execution and follow up of physical security gaps.
• Maintain compliance and records as required by the state and municipality.
• Integrate and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, fire department, and all other emergency services.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in security or a related field
• Cannabis experience not required
• Past training or experience with non-violent crisis intervention, behavior management, or other safety-awareness based training a plus
• Great time management skills
• Must be proactive, have a strong work ethic and pay great attention to detail.
• Comfortable with handling confidential information

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Occasionally moves up to 30 pounds of equipment/materials/product within rooms (100 pounds with assistance).
• This job function may include being in a stationary position or moving for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to handle outside cold temperatures in winter and warm temperatures in summer (a space heater is provided for cold weather).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
