Employment Specialist/Job Coach
Locations: Multiple locations across Colorado (Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster, Brighton, Denver, Aurora, Littleton)
Job Overview

We are seeking an Employment Specialist/Job Coach to play a crucial role in our mission to support, hire, and retain a highly qualified and talented workforce. Your primary responsibility will be to empower individuals with disabilities by assisting them in acquiring and performing job-related skills, promoting independence, and fostering positive working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Skill Development: Specialize in guiding individuals with disabilities to learn and proficiently perform job tasks.
Tailored Job Placement: Identify individual interests, skills, and talents to help them secure a job that aligns with their preferences.
Personalized Training: Provide one-on-one training customized to the specific needs of supported individuals.
Job Analysis: Conduct job analyses to identify tasks and develop training plans for self-sufficiency.
Relationship Building: Offer monitoring, assessment, and support to cultivate healthy working relationships.
Social Integration: Encourage appropriate social interactions among supported individuals.
Advocacy: Represent and emphasize the value of supported individuals as assets to businesses.
Progress Tracking: Monitor and document the progress of supported individuals toward their goals.
Task Breakdown: Simplify job duties into manageable steps to facilitate learning.
Performance Evaluation: Assess individual performance and determine when reduced support is appropriate.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the quality of work adheres to industry standards and is completed within designated timeframes.
Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between employees and employers to facilitate positive employee-supervisor relationships.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of employment specialist services for each supported individual.
Barrier Resolution: Document and recommend actions to overcome employment-related challenges to the Employment Specialist Supervisor.
Certification Maintenance: Keep current with First Aid and CPR certifications as required.
Crisis Response: Respond to crises following established policies and training.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed written documentation within 24 hours of serving each individual.
Additional Duties: Complete any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
Personal Assistance: Assist individuals in activities of daily living and related job tasks.
Behavioral Support: Demonstrate the willingness and ability to work with individuals during challenging behaviors.
Required Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, report writing, applying mathematical concepts to practical situations, problem-solving, and interpreting written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift or support approximately 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
Must be capable of standing for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach overhead.
