Hiring Range: $700-$900 per credit hour, Starting pay rate is commensurate as based on assigned instructor level, education, and experience.
Full Time or Part Time: Part Time
Additional Detail
The primary responsibilities for the Adjunct Welding Instructor include:
- Teaching specific classes in the designated discipline.
- Developing course syllabi and instructional materials.
- Maintaining records, assigning grades, and assessing student progress.
- Adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations of DCC and the VCCS.
- Maintaining current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years' current experience in the field is required.
- Ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
- Ability to review, revise and develop curriculum to meet industry and certification standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn concepts, equipment and software as it relates to related courses and programs.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to utilize campus resources including software and college learning management systems.
- Ability to exercise discretion and use sound judgement in decision making.
- Commitment to teaching excellence with an enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to the college mission.
- Ability to use technology to enhance instruction and to effectively teach in classrooms and labs.
- CSC or equivalent in the teaching field and welding teaching experience..
- AWS and/or NCCER Certifications .
- Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
