Job Title: Lobby Attendant

Pay: $13.00 p/h

Location: Crystal River, FL

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Cleans and inspects public areas to ensure resort cleanliness standards are met.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all cleaning and sanitation procedures for public areas meet and/or exceed Resort standards
• Maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness control in the specified areas of assignment.
• Ability to keep open and effective communication with fellow coworkers, other departments, and leadership
• Create a positive work environment by providing exceptional customer service to staff, members, and guests
• Report any issues/complaints to the appropriate departments
• Maintain and enhance the quality for the resort
• Work individually or in a group setting
• Perform cleaning guidelines as set forth in a SOP or by Supervisor
• Report any maintenance problems to the Housekeeping/Engineering
• Ensure you are working in a safe and productive manner
• Ensure all assets and supplies for the department are secure
• Perform all work in a timely manner
• Follow all changes in schedule as directed by management
• Attend all required meetings
• Ensure all equipment is working properly and safely before shift
• Assists room attendant with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens. Delivers linens and necessary supplies to room attendants.
• Shampoos carpets, strips and waxes floors throughout the hotel.
• Cleans designated areas such as lobby, public rest-rooms, public areas, and back of house areas on resort property.
• Collects trash throughout the resort including room attendants’ carts, vending and room service areas, offices and rest rooms.
• Responds to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, roll-a-ways, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned as business demands.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Position requires flexibility in scheduling to work AM/PM shifts, weekends & holidays. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Will be required to work with common household chemicals.
• May regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic/caustic chemicals
• Candidates in this role will be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess good communication skills, oral and written.
• Must be able to work alone with little or no supervision.
• Strong organizational and guest services skills are required.
• Housekeeping experience of at least 3 months is required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as, carrying, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.
• Position requires frequent operating of vacuum cleaner and often operate a carpet shampooing machine, a floor buffing machine and a wet-vac as well as other cleaning machines.
• Exposure to various types of Florida weather conditions including: sunshine, heat, and rain.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift, push, carry, and pull at least 50lbs.

• May regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic/caustic chemicals
