Current permanent employees of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Org Code WXS, WXSD, WXSL, WXSLN, WXSM, WXSN, WXSP, WXSQ, WXSQL, WXSQM, WXSR, WXSRL, WXSS, WXSSL, WXST, WXSTP, WXSV, WXSW, WXSX, WXSXM, WXSY within UIC 00164, DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) eligibles, DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Preference eligibles and DoD Retained Grade Preference eligibles, and VEOA eligibles.
Duties
  • You will interface with NAVAIR Program Managers, Product Support Managers (PSM), Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, and support personnel to ensure continued coordination of efforts.
  • You will lead the EA-18G Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Fleet Support Team (FST).
  • You will be an expert in overall Life Cycle support for aircraft EW weapon systems.
  • You will provide technical guidance and support for development and sustainment for prime mission equipment and related test systems.
  • You will be proficient in budget development and program planning, Life Cycle Cost Projections Status Reporting and Briefing, and technical risk management to support project execution.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
