Salt & Lime Modern Taqueria is looking to add an energetic and organized Cashier to the team! We are a chef driven fast casual concept within a contemporary and inviting Tulum atmosphere. Job Description: This position within our concept is crucial as it is the first guest impression. Each and every guest should be welcomed with a warm smile and with the utmost hospitality. Assisting the guest in questions and a menu tour is our bread and butter as it invites the guest to best understand our concept. We strive for unparalleled hospitality. Organization, time and cash management as a Cashier is imperative for successful transactions with positive guest experience. Adhering to the standardized standard operative procedures set forth by management will ensure that the restaurant is set with a strong foundation for service and day to day operations. Below you will find a list of Cashier responsibilities:
- Proper understanding of all the cash and card services the restaurant utilizes
- Proper handling of all cash and credit card sales
- Understanding discount or comp protocols
- Strong focus on suggestive selling
- Detailed knowledge of the food and beverage menu and ingredients used
- Detailed knowledge of allergies
- Understanding ADA compliance within the restaurant including seating areas and pathways to be utilized
- Maintain restroom cleanliness and stock of paper goods
- Clear, clean, and sanitize guest surfaces within the dining room and patio
- Organize the dining room and patio
- Restock bottle and canned beverages
- Restock paper goods for take out orders
- Assist fellow team members within the front of house, when time permits
- Communicate guest complaints immediately to management
Requirements: The listed items below are essential for the success within the position:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum 1 year experience in the fast casual, full service, or fine dining restaurant
- Hospitality training, Highschool diploma, GED preferred
- Must have a current California Food Handlers card or similar certification.
- Have knowledge of restaurants skills including equipment
- Willingness to support the team and restaurant for success
- Ability to lift or move 50 pounds, frequently
- Ability to kneel, bend, and stoop, frequently
Rate: Part time and Full Time Availability: $16.00 - $18.00 plus tips
Benefits: Free employee meal while on shift, discounted meals when off shift
