Child Care Center Director
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements
- Hire, train, and supervise childcare staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each child
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and development
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Complete paperwork for state reimbursement programs in a timely manner
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood education and implement innovative teaching strategies
Skills:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, budgets, and resources effectively
Qualifications:
- Other requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems
- A strong background in working within an accredited program is ideal
- Must meet the physical requirements of the job
- Excellence in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction
- Must pass Criminal and fingerprint background check
- Have a professional appearance and presence
- Min of one year Director experience in a licensed child care facility
- Currently have a non-expiring Directors License
- Proficient computer skills in a variety of business-related programs, including Microsoft Office
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
