Established in 1993, Power Engineering Services, a Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE:PWR) company, is a technical service organization specializing in commissioning, start up, and maintenance testing for utilities, industrial, governmental and commercial clients. We are in Converse, TX with clients throughout the United States as well as internationally.

About this Role

The specialist processes accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner. This involves handling invoices, verifying expenses, and reconciling payments. You will reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Additionally, you will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, which include preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements2

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable

• Code, process, research, and send invoices for approval
• Verify invoice information matches purchase order
• Research and resolve issues with vendors and internally with the purchaser/department manager
• Maintain vendor relationships i.e., professional communication, able to request and process necessary information, and effective conflict resolution
• Purchase Orders

Accounts Receivable

• Accurate and timely processing of invoices, verifying invoiced amount against purchase orders provided by customer
• Upload invoices into customer portals
• Collections – weekly report review and contact with customers
• Sales order entry
• Monthly statements
• Maintain customer relationships i.e., professional communication, able to request and process necessary information, and effective conflict resolution

What You'll Bring

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years experience in accounts payable/receivable position
• Accounting Program: Spectrum
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Have analytical abilities, team working capabilities, and be results oriented
• Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and adherence to internal and external deadlines
• Verifiable knowledge of billing and collection procedures
• Ability to diagnose issues and collaborate with management to provide time efficient solutions
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to provide positive feedback on templates used for collections
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
