Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various design software and possess a strong mechanical background. The Drafter will play a critical role in the continued growth of our product line and our business.
Duties:
- Create detailed drawings and schematics using software such as Inventor and/or SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop mechanical designs.
- Build and revise 3D models and assemblies.
- Review and interpret technical specifications.
- Utilize knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to support design processes.
- Assist in the Design and development conveying systems including components and assemblies to create solutions that are innovative, easy to manufacture, user friendly and meet cost targets.
- Learn to interface with product management and sales team in identifying key machine performance criteria prior to initiating detailed design activities.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Assist in maintaining and creating accurate, timely BOMs and drawings for transfer to Manufacturing.
- Assist in providing technical support to Manufacturing for new and existing designs to meet all shipping and startup schedules.
- Assist in providing technical support to Manufacturing for the assembly and testing of equipment through all product phases from prototype through full production.
- Assist in Coordinating the flow of technical information to Manufacturing, Sales, Service and Customers.
- Assist in documentation efforts to maintain all manuals, drawings, bill of materials, and manual drawings.
- Assist Project Leaders on assigned projects from conception through startup at the Customer site.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in 2D CAD software. 5 years of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Inventor and/or SolidWorks. Inventor preferred. 5 years of experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical concepts and principles.
- Experience with creating detailed schematics and drawings.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Vault
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Frazier & Son designs and manufactures high-quality bucket elevators, incline conveyors and ancillary equipment primarily for the food industry. This often includes integrating conveyors into complete custom systems. Our conveyors lead the industry with an extremely sleek, safe and sanitary design. Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
