The Opportunity
Growth creates opportunity! We are seeking an A-Player to join our vibrant local business, which is part of a progressive horticultural organization with national reach. As the Enhancement Manager, you’ll:
- Propose, sell, and manage enhancement work and assist Account Managers in enhancement opportunities.
- Interact with crew personnel to maintain the highest industry standards and profit margins.
- Always recruiting! Find and train qualified teammates that work effectively and efficiently.
- Set up and maintain enhancement production schedule. Accountable for all production labor and profitability of the Enhancements.
- Read and analyze every sold Enhancement Project with buyout to check for accuracy in the sold work.
- Visit every Enhancement Project to qualify and quantify the project for labor and material required. Validate all projects for accuracy in the estimate gross margin.
- Interact with vendors: Flower growers, mulch suppliers, grass seed suppliers and nurseries.
- Procure all materials/equipment necessary to perform the enhancement and material services.
- On a daily basis, schedule and maintain all Enhancement work proposals within a 2-week performance objective. Maintain this schedule outlook on a 4-week basis.
- Conduct site reviews to formulate additional sales opportunities.
- Develop a personal relationship with clients and KLM staff members to ensure contract renewal and forge lasting relationships for future work.
- 4 years' relevant experience in horticulture and management.
- Proven experience motivating, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Capacity to make critical judgments, solve problems and demonstrate careful attention to detail.
- Determination to exceed the goals of position, department, and company by working independently and as an effective team leader.
- Experience managing sales and estimation processes (Job costing, proposals, etc.)
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.
